Brokering

There are times when brokering your jewelry might be the best option if you would like to sell your jewelry.  These reasons include:

  • You want to sell your jewelry quickly.  With brokering, you can typically receive funds for your jewelry within 1 day to two weeks.
  • The item you have is not of a style that will sell well on consignment.
  • You have inherited jewelry or gemstones that you wish to liquidate.

When we broker your jewelry, please understand that you will be offered a wholesale amount for it, not the retail amount you paid for it.

How it works:

To broker your items, our jewelers will need to physically inspect your jewelry at our store in NC.

Once we have done our analysis and photographed your item, we will offer your jewelry for sale to our nationwide network of commercial jewelry buying brokers.

We will then advise you of highest offer we have received. You are then able to decide if you would like to sell your item.  The buying estimates we receive from the brokers are generally accurate, but there can be a slight difference in the final price once they receive your item.

For our brokering service, we charge a flat 20% of the selling price.  If you choose not to broker your item once we have offered your item for sale through our brokerage service, there will be a fee of $50 per item to recover our costs of processing your item.

If you would like to use our brokering service, please give us a call to arrange an appointment, or fill out the information below and we will be in touch!

Please note that if you are shipping your jewelry to us to have it brokered, we will require a copy of your driver’s license and a notarized statement that you are the lawful owner of the jewelry, have the right to sell it, and there are no encumbrances that prohibit the sale.

You can print the form to take to your notary here.
